Scout BSA Camporee: Exploration & Geology Merit Badges

Choose Exploration or Geology or BOTH during a fun-filled weekend of camping and hands-on workshops! Our newest program Exploration, explores the history of speleology, cave exploration, research, and conservation. Scouts plan and carry out their own scientific expedition in the cave, performing experiments and analyzing the data afterwards. In the Geology badge program, discover the depths of geoscience studies by investigating rock & mineral properties, geologic time and fossils. Mineral resources, maps, and careers are also discussed. Put together your own rock and fossil collection to take home. The highlight of the visit is an awesome BLACK LIGHT ADVENTURE tour of two beautiful crystal caverns. All workshops taught by registered Merit Badge Counselors and all Merit Badge requirements for each badge are complete by the end of the event. Indoor lodging and lunches included.
