Cub Scout Wolf & Webelos Overnight Combo – Going Batty Patch with Wolf Finding Your Way or Webelos Champions for Nature
Learn which bat species live in your neighborhood. Be active with an exciting bat game. Bat anatomy, bat myths, and bat benefits are discussed. Scouts will make a poster about how we can be great neighbors to bats!
Sleeping accommodations are slumber party style in the visitor’s center. Lunch on Sunday is included with this combo event.
On Saturday, Wolves will earn the Finding Your Way Adventure. Navigate a map of the local neighborhood and learn to use a compass! Map and compass skills are the backbone of an outdoor enthusiast’s skill set but also learn why we should all be knowledgeable in this skill set. Webelos will work towards earning their Champions for Nature Adventure. Discover ways we can help endangered species! Explore threats to habitat and wildlife that can cause declines in populations and learn what we can do to protect nature and animals. Focusing on bats, scouts will learn about White Nose Syndrome and other threats these incredible animals face in our world today. Each pack will build a bat house to put up in their community.
All scouts and chaperones will take a tour of an incredible geological feature – the cave!
