Thank you to the staff at Lincoln Caverns for being such wonderful hostesses and hosts during our overnight Brownie Wonders of Water adventure. we enjoyed meeting "Brownie the Bat," learning all about how caves form, protecting our groundwater from pollution, conserving our water, and making water-related crafts. Lauren was a fun and patient tour guide and pointed out all the beautiful cave formations. We are recommending the caverns to all of the troop leaders we know!
Thank you. We were there over Easter weekend and my almost 10 year old son loved it. We were visiting with my brother and his wife who live nearby in Hollidaysburg. My son is a scout and I wish your place was closer then his pack would go there. He did show them the pictures we took though and is giving a speech in Science class tomorrow about your Caverns and made a poster out of pictures. We will be back some day.
...I really enjoyed this trip. It was worth every penny. Geo-caching was really fun. Thank you for letting us shop and stay above the gift shop. I really appreciated it. And...thanks a BILLION for the cave tour. ...Thank you for letting us have a late tour in the caves and showing us the different things in the cave and how they formed over the years. I enjoyed all the caves and panning for gems and geocaching.
Lauren was a fun and knowledgeable tour guide! The girls all learned so much and had a great time coming up with conservation ideas. Many thanks to Ann, Alyssa, Alisha, and Laruen for teaching us so much about water conservation, the importance of protecting our groundwater and defending our caves.
My son and I visited Lincoln Caverns this past summer when we were in the Raystown Lake area. The gift shop is nice, and the tour guides seem to be pretty well-informed. I haven't been in too many caves, but my son and I have toured a few of the last couple of years. This is well worth the visit, and it sounds like it would be a lot of fun to visit for Halloween as well. Visited July 2012
We had a great time! Well worth the 3 1/2 hour drive. Very informative - a great cumulative activity. Fabulous way to spend our cookie money. Can't wait to come back for another program!
Our guide did such a great job. She was great with our kids and really held their attention. The staff and site was super accommodating. We were SO impressed and happy with our visit.
While on our retrun trip from Gettysburg, we happened upon Lincoln Caverns, you can't help but see the signs along the way. We decided to stop but I really didn't have very high expectations, seemed like a tourist trap. Much to our surprise it was a great cavern experience & our Guide Mike was excellent. There are actually 2 separate caverns, located close within walking distance, each with different features. Tour lasted about an hour & was well worth the $$$, actually inexpensive. We would highly recommend checking out!
Well done workshops and hands-on learning. Very enjoyable. Nice day with lots of learning and plenty of time to complete activities. The cave tour was especially interesting.
The Cub Scouts learned a lot! The time slots for stations were perfect and did not leave the boys with extra 'down time' - Thank you! The entire staff did a fantastic job with our Scouts and parents. We had a great experience!
Thank you so much for taking the time to hold the overnight Girl Scout workshop with our troop. The girls had a wonderful time learning about speleology and bats, touring the caves and making their very own bat house. It will definitely be an experience they will never forget.
Guide was very patient and knowledgeable. Information was at the students' level. The fossil workshop was very hands on. I just wanted to tell you how much we enjoyed our WOW weekend at Lincoln Caverns. We were really impressed by the program you put out for the girls. It was all so well done and we ALL learned so much and had a great time. The caverns were wonderful!

Fantastic job! I just wanted to commend you on an outstanding job with the Ghosts and Goblins tour. We had a lot of fun, and the two 'tough' 8-year-old boys with us who bet me they wouldn't scream sufficiently lost that bet. Keep up the great work!
My family and I visited your caverns today we had a great time. My 6 and 7 year old boys learned alot and had fun. My 6 year old was so excited he wanted to go to another cavern after we finished going through Whisper Rocks. He was dissappointed there was notanother one go through. He was satisfied when I told him we could come back another day maybe inthe spring. Thank you again for an enjoyable excperience.
Wonderful experience, made even better by superb guide. My wife and I were in the area and decided to stop here. Great move. We thoroughly loved the limestone cave and its beautiful features which were described in minute detail by our absolutely outstanding guide, Lauren. As with many attractions, an engaged and knowledgeable narrator who was happy to put up with our many, many questions (and who provided ample warnings about tricky floor surfaces, tight squeezes, etc.) made a good thing even better. The gift shop is well stocked with beautiful minerals starting as low as a few dollars per specimen. My wife loves her huge fossilized Trilobite!

We had a great trip as always. Your guides are very knowledgable and I appreciate their patience with the students. I am very glad we are able to continue this trip each year. The students love it and learn a lot from the experience. Thank you!
Tim's tour and classroom presentation was superb! Students also enjoyed making the fossil casts and looking for fossils in the fossil pile. Excellent field trip! Keep everything the same! Schedule of events is perfect.
We truly appreciate that a staff member was able to come to school and brief the students before the trip. "Made the trip more meaningful." The Fact Sheet that we received was very helpful. Groupings were appropriate and it was nice that each group had an activity to do the whole time we were there.
We were worried about how our students with disabilities would do. The flashlights were a comfort to a child afraid of the dark. Tim was excellent with our boys. The concepts were within their understanding. Coming to the school before the visit transforms our trip from a vacation day from school into a real educational experience. Just a short note to thank you for the great job you and your staff did on Thursday. Our students really enjoyed the trip and some are still talking about it. Our trip to Lincoln Caverns was a trip that will always be remembered as one of our best trips. The boys as well as the parents really enjoyed our stay with you. This was a first for some of our Scouts to go on an overnighter. Thanks to you and your staff, we felt right at home. Thank you again for everything. I will promote your facility to other Scout Leaders and hope they too will come and enjoy a day with you.

Many thanks for your Batfest program on February 12! The day was very informative, so much so that I would hope it will continue and grow. I've always been fascinated by bats and the Batfest program increased my desire for greater knowledge of bats. Thank you again for the Batfest!!
Yesterday I took some visitors from the UK to see the beautiful Lincoln Caverns, my second visit. We had a great time, which was greatly enhanced by a wonderful young lady, Lauren, one of your employees. First I would like to say how professional, interesting, knowledgeable, and friendly Lauren was. We were in a group of 14 visitors, and she managed to keep us all entertained and interested throughout the tour. She is a credit to your company, but I am guessing you already know that.
Workshops were hands-on and fun, plus the kids loved the cave. Fantastic! We loved it and will return!
I would lke to thank you for the great cave camp this week. My son was involved for the first time and had a blast! I don't even know if he could tell you what his favorite part was because he loved it all!

Wonderful and educational tour....definetely has the WOW factor.....Tyler did a superb job as our tour leader....answered everyone's questions....definetely will be back again. This is our second year and both classes have thoroughly enjoyed the trip. They were excited about sharing their experience with the other teachers and students at the school. This trip is a culminating activity that goes with our rocks & minerals unit as well as our changing earth unit.
Loved the cave tours & gem panning. Lots of activity, it kept the girls busy & excited. Best overnight event I've been to! Very orgainized and PACKED FULL of activities! Wow, what a great trip. It took 2 hours to get there but it was worth every minute. The girls were never bored, always engaged in activity. WORTH EVERY PENNY WE SPENT!

I just wanted to write you a quick note to say that I really enjoyed BATFEST! I was a little worried when I first got there and saw all the kids. I felt a bit out of place not having any little ones with me! But you did a great job of blending adult and kid activities and I enjoyed myself the entire time and learned a lot! I also wanted to thank you for giving me some names of bat researchers. I have been in contact with the PA game commission, so hopefully I will find some volunteer opportunities to help the bats and to get some relevant experience while I am in the process of selecting a graduate program! Keep up the good work!

I've been going to the Lincoln Caverns since I was 7 years old and I am in my mid 20's now. There is always something new discovered as years progress. Also, if you're a fan of photography it's the perfect place to get some amazing shots inside and outside! I always try to bring new people with me because they never experienced it but they always thank me afterward. Definitely worth the trip and money.
A quick note to say Thank You for an amazing tour by Kat last Thursday. I was in Tyrone with my sons visiting my mother and grandmother and decided to bring them over for a tour (the boys flew in with me from San Antonio, TX). They're 6 a...nd 8 and LOVED it - still talking about it today! This Cave illustrates how beautiful nature can be. Many massive flowstones, stalactites (of course), white calcite, and sparking crystals. This is a family-friendly adventure, with great tour guides who take their time with kids and adults. Kids can pan for gems, arrow heads, fossils or choose from a selection of educational books or toys from the gift shop. They have Scout programs, offer cave camp, a haunted house (cave) in October, and Batfest in February. There are nature trails, picinic pavilions, and seasonal campgroud. The cave tours last about an hour and are both educational and entertaining. The caves are 52 degrees year round and Cameras are more than welcome.
Two caves for the price of one, family-friendly, family-run, great reasonably-priced gift shop, gem panning, very friendly for a commercial cave! Each cave is unique, it may not be the biggest or the oldest but I'm favoring this one and I've been to about 20 in the eastern US. They don't use artificial lights to make their cave look better, it's naturally beautiful. And the BATS! They are very abundant (don't worry, you are safe no ones been eaten). Sadly, we didn't spend more than a couple of hours there, we were passing though (nice leg stretch) but plan on taking advantage of more of what they have to offer next time we head East! What you might want to bring: camera, walking shoes or boots (some puddles), jacket, and a small flashlight was helpful with keeping my 4 year old more entertained.
Thank you! Great job on the layout and format of our two badge program. We thought all of the workshops were neat and the girls had a blast with learning about caves, bats, fossils & gems. The instructors did a fantastic job, were very knowledgeable. Programs were well thought out and very organized. We liked the variety of workshops with traditional insturction and hands on experiences, keeping all learners engaged!
Last week my wife and I toured Lincoln and Whisper Rocks and it was the best on our PA cavern tour trip. Theresa was our tour guide and she did a great job explaining the history of Lincoln Caverns and how caverns develop. She gets an A+ for her enthusiasm and knowledge.
