Girl Scout Junior Choice Day - Geocacher OR Animal Habitats
Join troops from other councils to participate in this one day program.
Choose between one of two badge programs offered on this event day. The Geocacher badge teaches girls how to use a GPS unit and find coordinates. Girls will also learn to use geo-slang, track a Travel Bug, make trade items, and go on a scout themed geocaching hunt. In the Animal Habitat badge, learn why animals live where they do and how we can protect those areas. Girls will discuss cave animals and habitats, create a poster about andangered species, and build a bat house to put up in their communities. Both programs include a presentation about cave conservation, cave animals, and cavern formation. The highlight of your trip will be touring TWO beautiful crystal caverns. Pre-registration is required and payment in full is due with registration.
