Brownie Girl Scout Combo - Fossil Safari & Let's Get Diggin' Badges

Rock your world studying fossils, minerals, and maps.

Discover the fun of finding fossils and exploring caves while earning two Badges! Fossil Safari Badge, from Wisconsin’s Badgerland Council, engages Brownies in learning about earth’s history of life through fossils. Brownies learn how to safely hunt for and collect fossils; finding one of their own to add to their collection. Dig into the study of geology while performing simple rock identification tests and do a fun map activity to learn about topographic maps to complete the requirements for Let’s Get Diggin’, also from our Wisconsin Girl Scout friends. This event includes a presentation about cave conservation, cave animals, and cavern formation. The highlight of your trip will be touring TWO beautiful crystal caverns. Included are workshops to fulfill badge/patch requirements, indoor “slumber party” style lodging, evening snack, and a lunch-time meal. Pre-registration is required and payment in full is due with registration.
