Go Batty with us - Learn about the importance of bats!

Go Batty with us, as we learn about the importance of bats in ecosystems where they live. Play a game, create a poster, and make a craft that will help remind scouts and others, to be good neighbors to bats everywhere. The Going Batty Try-It is courtesy of Girl Scouts of Southern Illinois. Learn about cave habitats and endangered species to fulfill the requirements of the Eco-Explorer Try-It. Girls will make a poster and a cave craft. This event includes a presentation about cave conservation, cave animals, and cavern formation. The highlight of your trip will be touring TWO beautiful crystal caverns. Included are workshops to fulfill badge/patch requirements, indoor “slumber party” style lodging, evening snack, and a lunch-time meal. Pre-registration is required.
