Girl Scout Junior Combo - Geocaching & Finding Your Way

Orienteering at its best!

Come learn how to read maps, use a compass and a handheld GPS unit. Participate in interactive mapping activities and go on an exciting geocache hunt. These two programs combine to give Girl Scout Juniors a solid foundation of traditional mapping approaches and an introduction to the new technology of GPS available today. This event includes a presentation about cave conservation, cave animals, and cavern formation. The highlight of your trip will be touring TWO beautiful crystal caverns. Included are workshops to fulfill badge/patch requirements, indoor "slumber party" style lodging, evening snack, and a lunch-time meal. Pre-registration is required and payment in full is due with registration.
