GSCNC Girl Scout Brownie Combo - Fossil Safari & Brownie Cave Explorer

Tumble into the exciting world of caves and fossils.

Brownie Girl Scouts learn about a cave’s intriguing inhabitants and caving etiquette in the Brownie Cave Explorer Patch Program. A climb through the Kid’s Cave Crawl is included. The Fossil Safari Try-It (courtesy of GS of Wisconsin – Badgerland Council) introduces girls to earth history through fossils. Girls will learn about equipment used by paleontologists, make a fossil mold & cast, and find a fossil for their collection. This event includes a presentation about cave conservation, cave animals, and cavern formation. The highlight of your trip will be touring TWO beautiful crystal caverns. Sleeping accommodations are slumber party style in the visitor's center. Breakfast sandwiches from Burger King and Domino’s pizza lunch are included for all. Girls will experience sluicing for real gems and receive a Lincoln Caverns patch to take home. To register for this event, please contact the Girl Scouts of the Nation's Capitol.
